Head of Product

About us

At Panaseer, we unite Data Science and Cyber Security so that Security Teams can answer the most challenging questions they face nowadays; questions like ‘How secure are our firm’s most critical assets?’, ‘What’s our security ROI?’ and ‘Where do I prioritise my scarce resources for best effect?’

With a growing team and portfolio of customers on both sides of the pond, it’s time to super-charge our product engine and leadership team by bringing on an experienced Head of Product to drive a needle moving roadmap and product strategy.

About you

You’re a Product Leader with a strong product management background looking to join the leadership team of a mature technology start-up. You can bring people together (both customers and team members) to ideate, prototype and execute product hypotheses.

You have a relentless focus on market trends and customers’ pains and gains. You take responsibility for finding the critical priorities amongst a sea of great ideas and opinions. You know how to defend your roadmap while remaining open to adapting it when the market or customer research tells you to. And, of course, you have a passion for data and evidence-driven decisions.

You’re keen to work with our engineers, data scientists and customer success analysts, who are passionate about the results our technology delivers for our customers. You love to be the Sherpa that guides us to solve the problems that matter most for our clients, so we can make the biggest difference to how they manage risk.

Your experience

You possess a strong product management toolkit and know how to choose the right tools for the job. You used JTBD, user story mapping, value proposition design and product roadmaps to innovate and improve products continuously.

You are familiar with Agile and Lean development principles and processes. You have some experience practising Scrum or Kanban. Working with Jira, Confluence or ProdPad will also come in handy.

You’ll have ideally worked with a variety of business models e.g. SaaS, on-prem, B2B, B2C. You worked closely with a variety of stakeholders and team members, from executives to engineers. You’re adept at facilitating brainstorming and prioritization sessions, with customers, prospects and SMEs.

Machine Learning Scientist

Panaseer is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to join our diverse technical team consisting of data scientists, software engineers, front-end developers and cyber security strategists. We are on a mission to deliver to our customers, a unique perspective on how their organizations are coping with the latest cyber security threats and drive forward their future security strategy. Through the analysis of security-relevant data our insights are changing the way customers perceive the challenge security poses.

We are building a data platform that enables the exploration, analysis and investigation of security data using innovative big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop. With their data visualised through our intuitive user interface, security leaders and operations teams can interact with and interpret their data in ways they never could before.

You will be joining the technical team to help us explore where Machine Learning can most effectively be applied to security. Some challenges you and the team will be taking on include:

  • Identifying previously undetected internal and/or external threats
  • Automating decision making to reduce the time and effort required to adapt security controls and reduce risk exposure
  • Improving the user experience of our application

You will also be involved in the application of quantitative analysis to cyber security data to understand security strengths, gaps and priorities and use this information to support a range of users. These insights help to inform board level decision making on the allocation of security budgets or identify potential issues with existing cyber security policies.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to know anything about cyber security. We can teach you everything that’s relevant for the job. All we ask is that you are inquisitive, passionate about data and motivated to succeed.

We’re a highly collaborative, supportive and friendly team and we’re looking for new members who value these qualities and will actively contribute to maintaining the great work environment we’ve built so far. Given the range of internal and external customers we engage with, we need people who are confident communicators and who can articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

So, if you are interested in taking on some of the most pressing problems in Cyber Security using state of the art technology as part of a fun and talented team, then get in touch and find out more about Panaseer’s vision and how you could help us deliver it!

  • Applied experience of machine learning techniques
  • Educational background in a Mathematics, Statistics, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Information Security or Engineering
  • Experience in developing and testing hypotheses through the preparation (e.g. feature engineering) and analysis of data
  • A real passion for answering hard questions with data but with a flexible approach that encourages solutions that work in the real world

It would be great, although not essential, if you had experience in the following areas:

  • Familiarity with programming languages such Python, R, SQL or equivalent analysis tools
  • Knowledge of the PyData stack for analytics/machine learning (e.g. scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, MatPlotLib, SciPy)
